Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days Game [FULL DEMO] Review

Welcome to the Arcade. I just finished the demo of this intriguing survival game. It is called Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days. I’m eager to share my thoughts(Full Gameplay Soon). The gameplay drew me in immediately, evoking the feel of This War of Mine in a really positive way. The dynamic of scavenging for resources and struggling to survive creates an intense atmosphere where every choice feels significant.

Each character brings something unique to the table, complete with distinct perks and designs. I’m hopeful that future updates will explore their stories and personalities more deeply. More dialogue and background information should enrich the experience.

The 80s aesthetic is another highlight for me. It gives the game a unique flavor that enhances immersion. I’d love to see the developers embrace this style even further.

I also appreciate the potential for various narrative paths and endings. This element adds a welcome layer of replayability, making me curious about how different choices will shape the story.

That said, there were a few bumps along the way. I experienced some performance issues, such as lag spikes when entering new areas, which could disrupt the immersion.

Additionally, the controls felt a bit awkward; they seem more suited for a controller. It would be fantastic to have the option to navigate and interact using the mouse. Switching between characters can be a hassle with larger groups. Allowing quick access via number keys would be a big improvement.

I also found the availability of wood to be lacking. Introducing a wandering trader to exchange surplus items for wood could add an interesting dynamic. And seriously, why does cooking a simple soup take a whole day? That could use some rethinking!

Despite these challenges, the game shows incredible promise. The engaging mechanics, memorable characters, and overall immersive experience kept me on my toes often in a genuinely thrilling way! Once the developers iron out these issues, it could become a leading survival game. I believe it has the potential to stand out in the genre. I can’t wait to see what the final version has in store!
